Jamie Kermisch (pictured), formerly co-head of European equity derivatives distribution at Morgan Stanley in London, has joined Mariana Capital Markets as a partner and chief executive of the firm's asset management business, also in London.
Jamie Kermisch (pictured), formerly co-head of European equity derivatives distribution at Morgan Stanley in London, has joined Mariana Capital Markets as a partner and chief executive of the firm's asset management business, also in London.
Kermisch will sit alongside other partners at Mariana including Rajvinder Minhas, Sebastien Krol and Kaveh Rahbary.
Jamie has joined Mariana as the partner and ceo of our asset management business which is one of the firm's increasingly important business lines and a strategic focus, Daniel Hawkins, managing partner at Mariana told SRP. He has over 24 years of financial services experience that will be highly applicable to our expanding business model.
Hawkins also said that for regulatory reasons, he could not comment further on the development at this stage.
Kermisch joins from global fund of hedge funds asset manager Fauchier Partners, where he was a partner and group managing director.-áPrior to this, he had a 10-year career at Morgan Stanley, where he held multiple senior management positions within the equity division and broader institutional securities group in London and New York.
His most recent role at Morgan Stanley was in London as co-head of equity derivative distribution for Europe, having moved from New York where he marketed a broad spectrum of equity derivative and financing solutions to US clients.
Before joining Morgan Stanley, he headed convertible and equity derivative sales to US institutional and hedge fund investors at ING Barings in New York.
Kermisch started his career as an equity capital markets banker at Credit Suisse First Boston, where he was ultimately responsible for global equity-linked new issuance.
