Citigroup is strengthening its equity derivatives trading and delta one teams in London with two senior appointments, SRP understands.

Mike Bitton recently joined Citi from Unicredit as a senior director in equity finance and delta one trading. Bitton joined Unicredit in 2004 and held a number of roles at the Italian bank including head of index arbitrage and most lately, head of structured linear derivatives.

Before joining Unicredit, Bitton worked at Soci+®t+® G+®n+®rale from 1997 to 2004. His last role at the French bank was head of US index arbitrage

In addition, Brendan Behan, the former head of index arbitrage, forward and dividend swap trading at Unicredit has also left the Italian bank in London, and is rumoured to be joining Citi.

Behan joined Unicredit in 2007 from Barclays, where he was an equity derivatives trader in index arbitrage and delta one products.

These two appointments follow the hire of Dimitri Kassatkine, who joined Citigroup London as a senior equity derivatives trader at the beginning of May.

Calls to Citi to establish specific responsibilities and reporting lines were not returned by press time.
