Nevin Chitkara is an investment officer and a value equity portfolio manager at MFS Investment Management® (MFS®). He is part of the portfolio management team for a number of MFS' value, global value, total return, and global total return strategies. As a value equity portfolio manager, Nevin is responsible for buy and sell decisions, portfolio construction, and risk and cash management. Additionally, he participates in the research process and strategy discussions. Nevin is based in MFS' Boston office. Nevin joined MFS in 1997. Prior to being named portfolio manager in 2006, Nevin was an equity research analyst specializing in the telecommunications, business services and transportation industries. Previously, he served on the corporate audit and business development staffs of General Electric Co. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Boston University, graduating magna cum laude. He also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
