Manager profile
Niall joined the Defensive Capital Fund management team in November 2016. He has over 20 years’ of investment experience, previously holding senior investment management roles in both asset management and investment banking. Niall was a senior member of the highly ranked equities team at Credit Suisse Securities, as well as Equity Analyst at Nevsky Capital, a long/short hedge fund. Niall also led the development of a range of complex derivative pricing and risk models for Independent Risk Monitoring, overseeing the analytical team and ultimately being appointed the Chief Operating Officer (COO). As COO he reviewed hedge fund trades and portfolios and ensured their conformity with UCITS risk and compliance regulations. He has also built and led teams at J.P. Morgan and Credit Suisse. Niall has a PhD in Theoretical Physics and an MA and BA in Physics, all from Cambridge University
