Ben Conway is head of the fund management team, he first joined Hawksmoor Investment Management in July 2010 and became a co-manager of the Vanbrugh and Distribution funds in January 2014, followed by the Global Opportunities fund in September 2018. His career began on the graduate scheme of Deutsche Bank in London, where he specialised in Japanese equities. He later moved to Merrill Lynch, where he became a director of Japanese equities. In 2008, he left the City and moved to Sydney to help start an energy consultancy. He returned to the UK in 2010
