Whitechurch Securities specialise in financial advice and discretionary management services. Our assets under discretionary managements are in excess of £300m. Whitechurch is committed to increasing client portfolio values over the longer term by employing a research intensive process. The key objective is to ensure that clients’ receive suitable portfolios that meet their risk / reward criteria. We believe that the key determinant in investment performance is the mix of asset classes into which the portfolio is invested. Asset allocation is formulated through the structured investment meetings, based on top down views of the relative value of and between asset classes going forward, given the investment climate. We employs a core/satellite approach, whereby the mainstay of the portfolio will comprise of “buy and hold” investments that are chosen based on their long-term value dynamics and their potential to offer an attractive long-term risk/reward profile. These will be supplemented by adding short-term tactical positions, used to exploit short-term valuation anomalies and cyclical opportunities and threats. We use an in-house quantitative driven process to analyse funds for consistency of performance, but place emphasis on meeting fund managers in person to understand their investment philosophy and process in detail.
