Ronald Slattery joined Fidelity International as a Japanese equity analyst in 1999, covering key corporations and industries in Japan. His initial coverage was concentrated on companies in the other finance sector, covering consumer and business loan providers, leasing companies and venture capital. Ronald later researched business software developers, before covering electronics parts companies. His investment career began in 1996 as a Japanese Equity Analyst at Dresdner Kleinwort Benson, Japan. After joining Fidelity International in 1999 and working as a research analyst till 2003, Ron was promoted to Director of Research. He became a portfolio manager in 2007 and successfully ran Japanese equity portfolios for both overseas and domestic clients for more than five years. He built a successful track record during his previous tenure of the FF Japan Advantage Fund.Ronald received an MBA from University of Michigan, a BA and BSE from University of Pennsylvania. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
