Fermat Capital Management, LLC (“Fermat”) is a Connecticut, USA based investment management company specialising in Insurance-Linked Securities (ILS). Since it was founded in 2001 by John and Nelson Seo, Fermat has remained wholly dedicated to the ILS sector, with particular focus on catastrophe bonds. The Managing Principals have over 40 years’ combined experience in ILS and cat bond investing and have been active participants in the cat bond market since its inception. They have previously acted as consultants on catastrophe markets to the World Bank, US federal and state departments and have regularly been keynote speakers for the insurance industry. Fermat has managed cat bond funds for GAM since 2004.
