Bart Goosens has been Global Head of Quantitative Equity Management at Candriam since 2001. He first joined Candriam in 1997 as an Equity Fund Manager/Financial Analyst. While managing several international equity funds, he developed a series of quantitative equity models leading to the formation of the Candriam Quantitative Equity Management team that he still heads today. Together with his team Bart designs, maintains and implements systematic stock selection strategies. These are applied to a range of regional and global equity funds. He began his career in Merrill Lynch’s private banking department, followed by JP Morgan in 1995 where he held a number of positions before joining Candriam. Bart Goosens received his Master of Applied Economics from the University of Antwerp, and is a CFA charterholder.
