Alex joined Fidelity in September 2010 having come from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). He spent the initial part of his career covering Energy equities; Alex began covering Medical Technology stocks in September 2011. He successfully covered a heterogeneous and diverse sub-sector over the next three years, yielding a number of stock ideas included in the FF Global Health Care fund. He subsequently took on coverage of European Large Cap banks (both retail and investment banking) in 2014, which allowed him to display his stock picking skills in a large cap sector, focusing on identifying key drivers of highly complex and diverse business models. He continued in this role until his recent appointment as a Portfolio Manager, a move which has been facilitated by his strong performance metrics among the analyst group.During his three years at PWC Alex qualified as a chartered accountant (ACA) and gained experience across a number of sectors. Previous to this, he achieved a First Class Bachelor’s degree in History at the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne.
