Hilary joined EFGAM in 1999 and is the Head of Portfolio Management (UK). Hilary manages New Capital Global Alpha Fund. As one of EFGAM's first portfolio managers he developed the Global Alpha managed account investment strategy, which has been at the forefront of the multi asset class targeted returns revolution. Previously at Old Mutual Asset Management, Hilary oversaw the global equity unit trusts, UK balanced pension funds and UK managed fund also serving as Head of Emerging Markets. Hilary has over 30 years' experience in the investment management business having worked at Schroders, Flemings and Lloyds Bank International. Hilary has a MA in history from the University of Edinburgh and subsequently became an Associate of the Society of Investment Professionals (ASIP).
