Manager profile
Stefan Löwenthal is Chief Investment Officer at Macquarie Investment Management Austria and has full responsibility for the company’s investments. He is also head of the five member investment team, who makes strategic investment decisions (approval of new funds, development of new strategies, etc.). Moreover, Mr. Löwenthal is head of the portfolio management team, which is responsible for asset allocation and overlay decisions, fund management and capital market analysis as well as the development of new investment strategies. Prior to Macquarie Austria, Mr. Löwenthal studied “Management Science” at the University of Economics Vienna. Besides his activities at Macquarie Austria, he teaches at the University of Vienna and the University for Applied Sciences IMC Krems. He is a CFA charterholder and has been working within the financial sector since 2008.
