Karan Chawla is a Vice President, portfolio manager, and trader for PGIM Fixed Income’s European Leverage Finance Team, based in London. Mr. Chawla is responsible for trading European high yield bonds and bank loans across multiple mandates. Prior to joining the Firm in 2021, Mr. Chawla spent almost 12 years at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, where his primary responsibility was leading their European High Yield trading efforts. His secondary responsibilities included security selection, portfolio construction and management. Mr. Chawla joined Goldman Sachs Asset Management in 2010 as a senior analyst in the global fixed income product management team covering global aggregate and investment grade credit portfolios, before being promoted to Executive Director in 2012. Mr. Chawla started his career in 2008 as a proprietary trader in Indian rates and commodities futures markets at the Securities Trading Corporation of India. Mr. Chawla holds an M.S. degree in Finance from ICFAI University and M.Com degree in Accountancy from the University of Mumbai.
