Derrick Irwin is a portfolio manager with the Berkeley Street Emerging Markets team at Wells Capital Management. He joined WellsCap from Evergreen Investments, where he served in a similar role since 2005. Earlier, he served as an analyst with Advest Inc. and as a portfolio manager with Goldman Sachs & Co. He began his investment industry career in 1993 as an analyst with Merrill Lynch & Co. Derrick earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Colgate University and a master’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance from the University of Pennsylvania. He has earned the right to use the CFA designation and is a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society.
