Manager profile

Matthew Hudson is the Portfolio Manager for the Liontrust UK Equity Income Fund. Prior to joining Liontrust in July 2026, he was CIO of River Global Investors, alongside his role as portfolio Manager for UK Equity Income strategy, He joined River Global Investors in 2022, having previously led the Pan European Business Cycle team at Schroders, where he managed client assets of over £5 billion across long-only and long/short strategies. Matt originally joined Schroders in 2013 following its acquisition of Cazenove Capital Management. At Cazenove, he launched and managed the UK Equity Income Fund from 2005 and the Equity Income Trust for Charities from 2002. Matt holds a degree in History from the University of Cambridge.
