Mary Jane McQuillen is a Portfolio Manager and the Head of the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Investment Program at ClearBridge Investments. Mary Jane co-manages the ClearBridge Sustainability Leaders Strategy, as well as a number of other active equity ESG strategies. She has been with the ESG program at a predecessor firm since 1996 and has over 20 years of investment industry experience, and is a member of the ClearBridge Investments Proxy Committee. Mary Jane serves on the Board of Directors for the Investor Responsibility Research Center Institute (IRRC), and the Sustainable Investments Institute (Si2). She is a former Board member of the CFA Society New York, the largest of the worldwide societies of the CFA Institute. She is also a former Board member of the Forum for Sustainable and Responsible Investment (US SIF). Mary Jane is a member of the UN Principles for Responsible Investment (UN PRI) Listed Equities Steering Committee and the ESG Integration Sub-Committee. In 2015, Mary Jane was named to the "Women Worth Watching" list for Financial Services. In 2008, Mary Jane was named a "Rising Star of Corporate Governance" by the Millstein Center for Corporate Governance and Performance at the Yale School of Management. She is also a member of Bpeace, a volunteer organization that works to introduce sustainable business skills to women in Rwanda, Afghanistan, El Salvador and Guatemala. Mary Jane received her MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School. She holds a BS in Finance from Fordham University.
